To all whom it may concern.'

Be it known that I, OTTO HErNIGKE, of the city, eounty,and State of New York, have invented or produced a new and original Design fora. Pattern to be Inwrought into Ingrain and other Carpeting, in colors smiiar to those painted on the drawing or photograph accompanying this specification, or in other colors substituted iu the place of those painted on the drawing or photograph herewith; and I do hereby declarethat the drawing accompan ying this specica'tion does give and convey to any one skilled in the a-rt of carpetweaving a defined and thorough description of the nature of my invention, and is sucient to enable any one skilled in the art of carpetweaving to use my invention.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The configuration of the design hereunto annexed, when applied to carpeting in thefonn similar to the drawing or photograph accompanying this specification.
