Specification forming part of Design No. 5,537, dated February 13, 1872.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HENRY HORAN, of Newark, Essex county, New Jersey, have invented or produced a new and original Design for a Pattern to be Inwrought into Ingrain and other Carpeting, in colors similar to those painted on the drawing or photograph accompanying this specification, or in other colors substituted in the place of those painted on the drawing or photograph herewith; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification does give and convey to any one skilled in the art of carpet-Weaving a defined and thorough description of the nature of my invention, and is sutficient to enable any one skilled in the art of carpet-weaving to use my invention.

The configuration of the design hereunto annexed, when applied to carpeting in the form ,similar to the drawing or photograph accompanying this specification.
