DESIG-N FOR A FRUIT-JAR COVER.

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.

To all 'whom it may concern -Be it known tlnit I, HENRY E. SHAFFER, of the cit-y of Rochester, county of Monroe, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Fruit-Jar Covers, of which the following is a full and exact description, referring to the accompanying drawing, in which- Figure 1 is a. plan, Iand Figure 2, a, vertical section.

This design consists of a. glass cover, hereafter described.

In the drawings- A is 'the cover.

Outside, it has a. flange, c, with two sharp edges, d d, which strike down upon the packing.

This design presents n graceful exterior, while at the same time, it subserves n useful purpose in being adapted to the form of the jen'.
