DESIGN FOR A CART-BODY.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,868, dated April 15, 1902. Application filed October 14, 1901. Serial No. 78,664. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom, it incty concern:
Be it known that I, J AMES 0. HENDERSON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Philadelphia, county of Philadelphia, and State of Pennsylvania, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Cart-Body, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a side elevation of a cart-body. Fig. 2 is a front elevation of the cart-body; Fig. 3, a rear elevation of the cart-body.
My design consists in the angular body, the horizontal part A of which extends forward above the shafts, and the vertical portion 0 of the body drops from the rear of the horizontal part A downward and terminates with the floor D. This vertical portion 0 is formed narrower than the horizontal part A and where it joins with this horizontal part is curved outward, as indicated at B. The vertical portion C is closed at this forward end, and this forward closed end extends vertically from the horizontal part A downward about two-thirds of the height of this closed end and then is curved forward and downward at the point F and joins with the floor D.
The leading and material feature of my design consists in an angular body having a horizontal and Vertical part, the vertical portion dropping below the horizontal part and being curved forward at the lower end and a roof or canopy covering the body. An opening G is formed through the rear of the body, and the body also consists of a roof or cover H, which is connected to and supported by the horizontal part A by means of posts I.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is"- The design for a cart-bod y, as herein shown and described.
