JULIAN ALVARO BURCH AND LESTER EDWIN LEE, OF CHICAGO, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR A GARBAGE-CAN.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 35,729, dated February 11, 1902.
Application filed December 30, 1901. Serial No. 87,853. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that we, JULIAN ALvARo BURCH and LESTER EDWIN LEE, citizens of the United States, residing at Chicago, in the county of Cook and State of Illinois, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Garbage-Can; and We do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.
This invention relates to a design for garbage-cans, as willbe hereinafter set forth, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure l is a view in perspective of a garbags-can, and Fig. 2 is a transverse section of the same.
The principal feature of our design resides in a can-receptacle A, that is square in crosssection, and the vertical posts B, secured to and engaging the respective four corners, as shown. The pyramidal shaped cover C, provided with ribs D, running from the corners and coming together at the top under the handle a, is also a part of our design, as clearly shown in Fig. 1.
Having thus described our invention, what We desire to claim is The design for a garbage-can, substantially as herein shown and described.
