ALBERT DUDLY, OF MENOMINEE, MICHIGAN.
DESIGN FOR SLIDE-PIECE FOR WRENCHES.
To all whom, it may concern.-
Be it known that I, ALBERT DUDLY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Menominee, in the county of Menominee and State of Michigan, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Slide-Piece for \Vrenches; and I do hereby declare the follow ing to be a full, clear, and ex actdescription of the same, reference being had to the accomparo nying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 of the drawings represents a side elevation, Fig. 2 a front elevation, Fig. 3 an upper end view, and Fig. 4 a lower end view, of a slide-piece of a wrench, the same embodying my new design.
My invention relates to a new and original shape or configuration of the slide-piece of a wrench, the leading or essential'feature consisting in the unitary'design for the article made subject of illustration and comprising the piece A, having the rectangular vertical passage b, the upper inclination c, and horizontal face (I, the planes of which intersect between the short boundaries of said passage, the dovetail projection e, of less width than the remainder of said slide-piece, surmounting theinclination of same, between the lower extremity of said inclination and aforesaid passage, this projection being provided with a bore f, extending from said lower extremity thereof approximately one-half of its length, and an upper slot 9, intersecting the bore, the rounded partly-curved partly-straight short lengthwise edge h, the angular recessz', interrupting the continuity of said edge and open to the passage 1), the horizontal lower facej, having round aperture j, the rounded ogee k of the long lengthwise edge, and the fiat vertical face m of said long edge.
