DESIGN FOR A GAS COOKING-RANGE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,506, dated May 14, 1901.

Application filed April 1, 1901. Serial No. 53,967- Term of patent 7 years.

To all whmn it may concern.-

Be it known that 1, JOHN STOERTZENBAOH, a citizen of the United States, residing at Peekskill, in the county of Westchester and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Gas Cooking-Range, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part hereof.

In the drawing 1 have shown a perspective view of a stove embodying my design, the feature of which is the configuration and ornamentation.

A indicates the base-section, having the legs B and provided with the surface ornamentation extending down upon the legs.

The body portion of the stove is generally rectangular, the front portion of which is comprised in the main of the somewhat elongated rectangular doors Gand l). The lower door C is provided with the scroll-and-leaf ornamentation in relief, the figures at opposite sides of the door being alike and reversely arranged. Prominent features of this ornamentation are the downwardly and outwardly curving scroll-like figures E, terminating at their lower ends in the dragon-heads, as shown. The upper door D is provided with the scroll ornaments, which, as shown, are alike on opposite sides of the door and reversely arranged around a central sectorshaped panel F. The upwardly and inwardly curving figures G, surmounted with dragonlike heads, form an important feature of the scrollwork on this door.

Arranged at each side of the doors 0 and D are the rounded and fluted post-like uprights H, having the ornaments at their ends and at their central portions. Beneath the doors 0 and D is located a horizontal rounded front portion 1, having an elongatedsymmetrical scale-like ornamentation, as shown.

The top of the range is formed of the sec tions J, K, and L, the central section J having suitable grated openings overlying the burners, and the side sections K and L having the open scrollwork, as shown.

What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The design for a gas cooking-range shown and described.
