Description

UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JULIUS CLARK HILTON, 0F NEENAH, \VISCONSIN.
DESIGN FOR A BUTTON.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 33,064, dated August 14, 1900. Application filed June 29, 1900. Serial No. 22,083- Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, JULIUS CLARK HILTON, a citizen of the United States, residing at Neenah, in the county of Winnebago and State of Wisconsin, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Button, of which the following is'a specification, reference being bad to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure l is a plan view of a .button, showing my design, it being upon a scale several times too large for the purpose of the better illustration of it. Fig. 2 is a sectional view taken transversely of the button on its diainetrical line.
As shown in Fig. 2, the upper surface of the button is smooth and slightly oval.
Fig. 1 shows the design to consist of a circular band 1. Within this band is an equilateral triangle, its extreme outer angles entering slightly into the inner edge of said band. In the are 2 of the circle, at the lefthand side of the triangle, a pair of balances are shown. In the are 3 a key is shown, and in the are 4 two clasped hands are shown.
This equilateral triangle is divided into three equal parts 5, 6, and 7, each one of which contains one obtuse and two acute angles. The lines which form the triangles, the beam of the balances, and the stem of the key are shown as being beaded, the outer band being plain with smooth edges.
The button bounded by a plain circular band, the large triangle inelosing three smaller triangles, the scales, key, and clasped hands, with the parts beaded, as above described and shown, are the leading features of the design.
Having described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent,
The design for a button, as herein shown and described.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
J. CLARK HILTON.
