DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,622, dated October 10, 1899.

Ue it known that I, IRVIN C. SoUnEns, a citizen ofthe United States, residingat Dayton7 in the connty'of Montgomery and State of Ohio,bave invented a certain newand useful Design for a Bottle; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable 0thers skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the saine, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which form a part of this specification.
Figures 1 and 2 are Views of opposite sides of mydesign. Fig. 3 isa eross-seetional view on the line a: so of Fig. Il.
As is shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a series of sunken rectangular panels A B CD on one side ofthe bottle. These panels are separated by transverse bars a ZJ c. The top panel D is of a gable or half-diamond shape. A bird E of the crane or sterk species occupies a position t-o one side of the centers of the two central panels B C. The divisionbars b c are broken to allow the gure of the bird to extend through the two central panels B C with its bill or beak projected into the uppermost panel D. The opposite side ot' the bottle, as shown in Fig. 2, has a single oblong reeiangula r sunken panel G, capped by a sunken panel lI of a gable or half-diamond shape. The panels G and Hare separated by a transverse bar I. The neck of the bottle joins the widest part thereof by iaperingsides J J. The edges or smaller sides l( K are flat throughout the length of the body of the bottle, as shown in Fig. 3.
The several figures and ornainentations are produced in the material forming the bottle in a manner well known to the art of glassblowing.
