SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,696, dated May 2, 1899.
Application filed April 6, 1899 Serial No. 712,023. Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, THOMAS P. GREUER, a citizen of the United States, residing at the city of Philadelphia, in the county of Philadelphia and State of Pennsylmnin, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Manhole-C over, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof, in whiel1 Figure 1 is a top or plan view of a manholecover embodying, my design, and. Fig. 2 is a cross-sectional view of Fig. 1, these two views being deemed essential or necessary for the proper illustration and understanding of the design of my invention.
The leading feature of my present design consists of the con figuration or outline of the cover in conjunction with the shape or form of the ornamentations within the field of the cover.
Referring to the drawings, the cover when viewed in plan and section presents the appearance of a circular convex held a, surrounded by a wall Z1, the interior surface of which concaved,and the said wall thickened inwardly toward the top I), so that an overhanging in nor edge 7/ is formed, as illustrated in Fig. 2.
