UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ANTIION E. NIELSEN, OF NEXV YORK, N. Y., ASSIGNOR TO THE STERLING SUPPLY AND MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A FARE-REGISTER DIAL.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 30,077, dated January 31, 1899. Application filed December 30, 1898. Serial No. 700,767. Term of patnt 14 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ANTHON E. NIELSEN, a citizen of the United States of America, and a resident of the borough of Brooklyn, in the city of New York and State of New York, have invented and produced a new, useful, and original Design for a Fare-Register Dial, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, which forms a part hereof.
The figure is a face view of a. dial of the new, useful, and original shape or configuration which constitutes my design.
The leading features of this design are three large rectangular openings and two rows of small rectangular openings within a circular-dial outline.
A pair of the larger openings (marked A and B in the drawing) are arranged on the horizontal diameter of the dial at one and the same distance from the vertical diameter and are nearly square in shape and elongated horizontally. The third of these larger openings (marked 0) crosses the vertical diameter of the dial near its top and is centered with reference to that diameter and elongated horizontally. The rows of smaller openings (1 and b are located, respectively, beneath said openings A and B, and each row numbers four vertically-elongated openings of uniform shape and dimensions. Each of the openings is surrounded by a border-line w, and all are symmetrically disposed with reference to each other within a circular-dial outline D, as shown in the drawing.
Having thus described my said design, I claim as new and original and desire to patent under this specification- The design for a fare-register dial, substantially as shownand described.
ANTIION E. NIELSEN.
