AI TY INvENTnF. flrrE's T r l four- 1 J flaw 4+? #6 W UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JOSEPH II. GLAUBER, OF CLEVELAND, OHIO.
DESIGN FOR A FAUCET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,734, dated November 29, 1898.
Application filed November 7, 1898. Serial N0- B95,752. Term of patent 14 years.
To all lUhOHb it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOSEPH H. GLAUBER, of Cleveland, in the county of Ouyahoga and State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Faucets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, and in which- Figure 1 is a side elevation, and Fig. 2 a front elevation.
As shown in the drawings, the leading and material feature of the design is comprised more particularly in the handle and the portion immediately beneath the same, in conjunction with the body, substantially as shown and described.
The body A of the faucet comprises its entire length, and at its discharge end is marked by a plain-surfaced downwardly-curved portion, and next to this is an enlarged portion 3, ornamented with plain panels running longitudinally of the faucet and having straight edges. Next to this paneled portion is an annular neck 4, and next to said neck is a plain barrel-shaped portion 5. This is relieved by a plain ring 6, having a succession of flat spaces 7 about the same.
Centrally upon the paneled portion 3 is a plain drum-shaped pedestal B for the handle (3, and this is relieved about its top by the crown 9, having reversely-tapered portions above and below and flat faces about its middle. Next above this is the handle 0, which lies across a stem-shaped neck 01 and has a spherical portion 0 resting on said neck. The longer end 0' of the handle gradually tapers from said spherical portion 0 to a larger size and has an abrupt tapered point, While at its shorter end the handle is ornamented with a head 0 at its immediate extremity and has a plain slightly-tapered ring 0 midway between the said head and the spherical portion 0.
What I claim is The design for a faucet, substantially as shown and described.
Witness my hand to the foregoing specification this 4th day of November, 1898.
JOSEPH II. GLAUBER.
