UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
ROBERT M. BURNETT, OF SOUTHBOROUGH, MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR A BOTTLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,493, dated October 18, 1898.
Application filed September 9, 1898. Serial No. 690,601. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that 1, ROBERT M. BURNETT, a citizen of the United States, residing at Southborough, in the county of Worcester-and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Bottles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanyingdrawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 is a perspective of a bottle, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a central vertical section.
As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of the design for a bottle having a body of approximately ovoid form, truncated at one end and at the other prolonged intoaneck 2, provided at its upper end with a band 1, extending above the said neck and forming with it shoulders 3 and 4, said band having a diameter larger than that of the neck, as shown in the drawings. This band has the appearance of a ring or collar fixed on the exterior and entirely outside of the line of a bottle-neck of common form.
The neck is slightly contracted at 5, and below such point is gradually enlarged and disappears in the body of the bottle, which latter is contracted toward its foot.
Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The design for a bottle, as herein shown and described.
ROBERT M. BURNETT.
