Description

DESIGN.
W. M. ROBERTSON. TOP 0R COVER FOR LUNCH BASKETS.
Patented Apr. 19, 1898.
UNITED STATES WILFRED M. ROBERTSON, OF SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA.
PATENT OFFICE.
DESIGN FOR A TOP OR COVER FOR LUNCH-BUCKETS.
To all whom it may concern? Be it known that I, WILFRED M. ROBERT- SON, a citizen of the United States, residing in San Francisco, in the county of San Francisco and State of California, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Top or Cover for Lunch-Buckets, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof.
Figure 1 of the drawings is a perspective view of the top or cover of a lunch-bucket, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is an eleva tion of the same.
The leading or material feature of my design consists of a deep circular ring, the sides or body of which has perforations or cutaway portions on perpendicular lines all around the circumference and solid or closed portions of about equal size with the openings, so that the body of the ring is composed of alternate openings and solid portions and with a solid or continuous top edge or rim, the openings terminatinga short distance below such top edge, so as to leave the material of which the ring is composed continuous or unbroken all the way around the edge. This perforated ring stands perpendicularly npward from the top surface of a circular top plate or cover and in the center thereof. From the bottom or under side of such plate or cover is a depending rim or flange of less diameter than the said plate or cover.
In the said drawings, A indicates the circular top plate or cover; B, the deep rim or flange depending from the under side; C, the perforated standing ring on the top of the cover A, and D D are the alternate solid portions and openings around the circumference of the ring C.
Having thus fully described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is
The design for the top or cover of a lunchbucket, as herein described and shown.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing I have hereunto set my hand and seal.
WILFRED M. ROBERTSON. [1,. 8.]
