Be it known that I, ABNER A. BEVIN, a citizen of the United States, residing at East Hampton, in the county of Middlesex and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Gong for Bells, of which the following is a specification,reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

Figure 1 is a View in side elevation of a gong, showing my new design. Fig. 2 is a top or plan view.

As shown in the drawings, the leading or material feature of my design consists of a lower portion having the form of the frusturn of a cone, and the upper portion of the gong having the form of a cone, the sides of which are inclined to a less degree than are the sides of the lower portion, thus forming a distinct angle between the lower and upper parts of the gong when viewed in side elevation, as shown in Fig. 1.

Having described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The design for a gong for a bell substantially as herein shown and described.
