Description

08-402. OR 0279695 k EX DESIGN.
J. B. MINOTT.
SASH HOLDER.
No. 27,695. Patented Sept. 28, 1897.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
JOHN E. )IIXU'IT, (IF AURORA, ILLINOIS.
DESIGN FOR A SASH-HOLDER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,695, dated September 28, 1897.
Application filed May 4, 1897. Serial No, 635,083. Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JOHN E. MINOTT, of Aurora, in the county of Kane, and in the State of Illinois, have invented a certain new and useful Design for a Sash-Holder; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, in which Figure 1 is aview in side elevation ofa sashholder shaped in accordance with my design; and Fig. 2 is an edge view, partly in section.
Letters of like name and kind refer to like parts in both of the figures.
The object of my invention is to provide a new shape for sash-holders; and to this and said invention consists in the design for a sash-holder, substantially as hereinafter shown.
The leading feature of my design is the shape oreonformation of the sash-holder, such being a cylindrical hub or pivotal part and a radial projection therefrom having its opposite edges curved on ares that are eccentric and of difierent radii and converge toward each other from said hub, the surface of the smaller radius being coneave and the other being convex.
In the drawings the hub is designated A and is shown with its ends slightly reduced in diameter, and passing axially through the hubisan opening a, that is triangularin crosssection. The radial projection is designated B, and its opposite eecentrically-curved edges 1) and b are shown as merging into the periphery of a semicircular enlargement a on the hub. In each side of the projection 13 is formed a depression or cavity C, whose outline is formed by intersecting curves that are respectively concentric with the hub and the two curved edges of the projection.
The surface of the edge 1) of the projection may be either smooth or rough without departure from the scope of my invention.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim is The design for a sash-holder, substantially as herein set forth.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing I have hereunto set my hand this 24th day of April, A. D. 1897.
