TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, ELEMIR J. NEY, of Lowell, in the county of Middlesex, and State of Massachusetts, have originated and designed a new Pattern for Carpets or other fabrics, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part of this specification.

A is a small block, surrounded by four palm-leaves, said palm-leaves resting on ground B. C is a band surrounding ground B. D is an irregular-shaped igure, as shown in the drawing, resting on small sprig-work and plain ground E. F is a band surrounding ground E. G G G G G G are six parts of a figure. The outline is of the shape of a block. The exact form is shown in the drawings. Small sprig-Work occupies the rest of the design. -1

The colors employed for the di'erent portions of the design may be varied to suit the taste and Wish of the manufacturer.

Claim.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is The design or pattern for carpets or other fabrics herein set forth.
