DESIGN FOR CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,619, dated August 31, 1897.
Application filed July 14, 1897. $erial Nov 644,575. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, WILLIAM F. BROWN, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, and a resident of Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, have invented a new and original Design for a Carpet and Border, of which the following is a specification.
This invention comprises two partsnamely, the design A for a carpet and the design B for a border; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification conveys to any one a clear understanding of the same and is suflicient to enable such person to use my invention.
The design A is characterized by large and small separated circular figures.
The design B is characterized by urn-like figures connected by festoons of flower and leaf forms, with large ornamental figures between the urn-like figures and curving stemwork below the urn-like figures.
\Vhat I claim, and desire to secure by Let ters Patent, 1's- 1. In a design for a carpet, the body A, substantially as shown.
2. In a design for a carpet, the border B, substantially as shown.
3. The design for a carpet comprising the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
