SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 25,550, dated May 26, 1896. Application filed March l()y 189?. Serial No. 582,659. Term of patent 14 years.

Referring to the accompanying drawing@r` wherein the design for a sled is illustrated, Figure 1 is a plan, Fig. 2 is :t Aside elevation, and Fig. 3 is a View oftherenr end,of1he sled embodying the design.
The pair of runners l, whieh are approximatelyY square in erossneetion and are parallel with eaeh other, extend Straight 'for niost of theirlength and then enrve upward somewhat at their front ends.
rlhe Seat-Supports, four in number, all eX- tend frorn'the runners upward to the Seat, inelining toward eaeh other-that is, the two front Supports are inelined toward eaeh other and toward the rear Supports, and the rear Supports 3 ineline toward eaeh other and also toward the front Snpporis. These supports are of sneh length that the Seat is held high enough to permit the coaster to sit upright when sliding downhill, and the braces i extend across between the two front inelining lQupports and between the two rear inelining lQuppfjn'ts in sueh manner :is to give th(l appearance ol the letter A to the runners, sup ports, neat, and braves when looking from the front or looking from the boek, as shown in Fig. 3, while the braces 5 extend nei-oss between eneh of the two front inelining snpports and the two rear inelining suplngnts, ,so as to prodnee the apl'iearanee of a broad A when looking at the led from either side, as Shown in liig. 'lhe tops el' the letters are formed by the seat (i, whieh, when Seen in plan, is an oblong' pieee with rounded end 4 and a narrow center, as illustrated in Fig. l.
The leading feature of the design reside` in the location, inclination, and proportional length of the Supports and braces, whereby the features described and shown are prodneed, the resultant effect of which is the Sled with a high Seatand a frame whieh indieates the letter and plain substantial artistie Strength.
