EMIL G. SAUER, OF BROOKLYN, NEW YORK, ASSIGNOR TO THE LOXVELTI MANUFACTURING COMPANY, OF MASSACHUSETTS.
DESIGN FOR CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 24,846, dated November 5, 1895.
Application filed September 21, 1895' Serial No. 563,260. Term of patent 3% years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, EMIL G. SAUER, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of rooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for a Carpet and Border, (being Pattern No. 5,078,) of which the following is a specification.
This invention comprises two partsnan1ely, the design A for a carpet, and the design B for a border; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification conveys to any one a clear understanding of the same, and is sufiieient to enable such person to use my invention.
The design A is characterized by a network of small branching stems resembling somewhat the appearance of coral and constituting its leading feature.
The design B is characterized by large ontwardly-pointing geometrical figures, resembling' somewhat in outline the form of a spear head. From the outer points of these figures extend oppositely-branching stemwork. Around and between the geometrical figures are arran ged flower forms.
\Vhat I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. In a design for acarpet, the body A, substantially as shown.
2. In a design for a carpet, the border B, substantially as shown.
3. The design for a carpet, comprising the body A and the border B, substantially as shown.
