DESIGN FOR A CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 23,261, dated May 15, 1894.
To all whom it may concern:
Beit known that I, WILLIAM F. BROWN, a subject of the Queen of Great Britain, residing at Newark, in the county of Essex and State of New Jersey, United States of America, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Carpet, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof, which represents a face View of the carpet in which the new design is embodied.
The invention relates to a design to be worked into or upon surfaces such as carpets or similar fabrics, and it consists in the novel configuration of gures as herein shown and claimed.
The design consists of a bodyA and border B. The body A is decorated with iiowers of the cultivated rose variety, together with foliage arranged in festoon order, the festoons appearing connected by ribbons, and the festoons are represented as encircling groups of Application filed April 19, 1894.
