DESIGN FOR CARPET.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 26,962, dated April 20, 1897.
Application filed March 9,1897. Serial No. 626,686. Term of patent 3% years.
Be it known that I, Anrnun MIDDLETON ROSE, a citizen of the United States, residing in Yonkers, county ofWestchester, and State 5 of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Carpet and Border, of which the following is a specification.
The invention comprises two parts, namely, the design A for a carpet, and the design B 10 for a border; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification eonveys to any one a clear understanding of the same and is sufficient to enable such person to use my invention.
1 5 The body A is characterized by stemwork in volute patterns and flower forms. The border 13 is characterized by curving stemwork and wreaths of flower forms.
\Vhat I claim as new, and desire to secure by Design Letters Patent, is 20 1. In the design for a carpet, the body A,
substantially as shown.
2. In the design for a carpet, the border 13, substantially as shown.
3. The design for a carpet consisting of the 25 body A, and the border B, substantially as shown.
In testimony whereof I have signed my name to this specification in the presence of two subscribing witnesses.
