DESIGN FOR A TABLE-LEG.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,997, dated January 2, 1894.
Application filed November 29, 1893. Serial No. 492,393. Term of patent 14 years.
i'o all whom it may concern: Be it known that I, LOUIS WELKER, a citizen fthe United States, residing at Williamsport, 1 the county of Lycoming and State of Pennyflrania, have invented a certain new and seful Design for Table-Legs; and I do herey declare the following to be a full, clear, nd exact description of the invention, which 'ill enable others skilled in the art to which it ppertains to make and use the same.
My invention reiates' to designs for table 'gs, which are particularly adapted for knockown tables, and is used in connection with rany different forms of knock-down tables.
In the accompanying drawings-Figure 1 a side elevation of a table leg embodying ny new design, and Fig. 2 is a plan view xereof.
In all of the above views corresponding arts are. designated by the same letters of eference.
The leading features in my design consist f a table leg with an upper end of a generlly square'shape with one of its corners bevi eled od, and with a projection protruding from the beveled corner.
A, is the upper end of the table leg, of sufficient depth to accommodate the ordinary side pieces of the table,said upper end being of the general square Shape shown. The inner corner of the upper end is beveled away .as shown, to form aflat surface a. The two adjacent sides b, and o, are at right angles to each other. The outer sides dand eare plain and corner f, is ornamented as shown.
Extending out from the surface A, is a projection g, which constitutes a necessary part of my new design.
B, is the lower part of the leg.
Vhat I claim is- The design for a table leg, herein shown and described.
