DESIGN FOR A CHAIR.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 22,022, dated November 29, 1892. Application filed June 22, 1892. Serial No. 437,668. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, AUGUST THON'ET, a citizen of the Empire of Austria-Hungary, residing at Vienna,in the Empire of Austria-Hungary, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Chairs, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates toa design for chairs having an arched and curved top piece at the upper ends of the upwardly-extended hind legs and a loop-shaped connecting-piece extending from the seat to the center of the arched top piece.
The nature of my invention is shown in the accompanying drawing, which represents a perspective view of my improved chair.
A in the drawing represents the seat; B, the hind legs, which are extended in upward direction, and C an arched and backwardlycurved top piece between the upper ends of the extension of the hind legs.
D is a loop-shaped piece, which extends from the seat with the arched top piece C,the curved upper end of the loop being in tangential contact to the center of the arched top piece 0.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- The design for a chair, substantially as herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my invention I have signed my name in presence of two subscribing witnesses.
