Wifzyzsszs 3 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
GEORGE H. REINNAGEL, OF BROOKLYN, ASSIGNOR TO THE FIREMENS PUBLISHING COMPANY, OF NE\V YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A BADGE OR SIMILAR ARTICLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 21,744, dated August 2, 1892.
Application filed June 20, 1892. Serial No. 37,408. Term of patent '7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, GEORGE H. REINNAGEL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for 3. Badge, of which the following is a specification.
My invention relates to a design fora badge or similar article, a detail description thereof being given in connection with the accompanying drawing, in which the figure illustrates a front view of a badge bearing the design.
The essential feature of the design consists in the outline or shape of the badge, which is similar to a firemans hat front or guard.
The face of the badge is inscribed with a figure of a phenix sitting in flames, the flames rising around and above the figure.
The broadest part of the badge is about the center, the lower end being slightly reduced in width and bounded by a straight horizontal line and the upper end is tapered to an apex.
lhe lower portion of the face of the button or badge from the central widest part down is bounded by the flames, in the center of which rests the figure of a phenix, as above described.
Having thus described my design, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent of the United States, is-- The design for a badge or similar article, substantially as shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my own I have hereto affixed my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
GEORGE H. REINNAGEL.
