D-ESIGN FOR A SPOON OR FORK HANDLE.

To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, HAVEELEY BRooKs SWART, a citizen of the United States, residing at Worcester, in the county of Worcester and State of Massachusetts, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Spoon or Fork Handles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

My design is for a spoon or fork handle;

' and the leading feature of my design consists in the original ornamentation of the spoon or fork handle.

Referring to the drawings, Figure 1 represents a front view of a spoon, showing my design on the handle thereof; and Fig.2 represents a back View of the spoon shown in Fig. 1, showing my design thereon.

In the accompanying drawings, 1 is a mans head or bust, which has the appearance of a likeness or conventional representation of George Bancroft.

2 is a house, which has the appearance of and is a conventional representation of the house in which George Bancroft was born or the birthplace of George'Bancroft.

I prefer to have the likeness or conventional representation of George Bancroft on the front of the spoon or fork handle and the representation of the house on the back of the spoon or fork handle.

I have shown in the drawingsa spoon with my design on the handle thereof. My design may also be used on the handle of a fork, if desired.

WVhat I claim is I The design fora spoon or fork handle herein shown and described, the same comprising a conventional representation of George Bancroft and a conventional representation of the birthplace of George Bancroft, substantially as set forth.
