Be it known that I, GOTTLUB llAUBER, of 1 the eity, county, and State of New York, have i invented a new and original Design for the Surface ()ruamentation of Handles of anes, Umbrellas, and larasols, oi. which the follovving is a specification.
The leading features of this design area shank in the form of a trunk of a tree, ahandle proper in the form of an alphabetical letter above said shank, and a limb extending i upward from the trunk and represented as twined flll'OlllllLl said letter.
In the accompanying drawings, Figures 1, 3, and 3 represent side views of llflllltiiGS for canes, umbrellas, and parasols, embodyingthe leading features of my design.
Similar letters of refereuee, indieate eorrespondiug' parts in the difi'erent figures.
A in the drawings represents the lower part or shank of a handle for a cane, umbrella, or parasol, embodying my design, which shank is in the form of a knurled tree-trunk. The upperpart of handle proper, B, is in the shape of an alphabetical letterand is disposed above the knurled trunk. 'lhese parts are represented as united by a limb or limbs, which extend upward from the trunk and twine around the letter.
