DESIGN FOR A HAME ATTACHMENT.
To all whom it may concern.-
Beit known that I, JOSEPH S. Sonocrr, a citi zen of the United States, residing at Burlington, in the county of Des Moines and State of Iowa, have invented a certain new and original Design for Hame Attachments; and I do declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
This invention relates to a design for adj ustable draft-eyes for Wood harnes, and will be fully understood from the following description and claim, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure 1 isa perspective view of my newlydesigned draft-eye, and Fig. 2 is a side elevation of the same.
Heretofore draft eyes havebeen made which presented, when viewed in perspective, as in Fig. 1, an upwardly and rearwardly curved extension terminating in a fork or bifurcation. In these forked branches were provided perforations and a rod employed to connect the said branches at their outer ends.
The leading feature of my design consistsin a laterallycurved branch having an elongated eye, the forward end of the loop having an annular transverse aperture.
Referring by letter to the said drawings, A indicates the forward end of the draft-eye, which has lower rounded external walls and a central aperture of annular contour.
B indicates the rear branch of the said drafteye, which curves laterallyand rearwardly, beiug formed in a loop by a central elongated eye, 0.
Having described my design, what I claim is- The design fora hame attachment herein shown and described, the same consisting of the draft-eye having one end terminating in a curved border with an annular aperture, and its opposite end curved laterally and terminating in an elongated eye or loop, as set forth.
In testimony whereof I alfix my signature in presence of two witnesses.
