DESIGN FOR A CARPET.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,989, dated June 1 9, 1883.

Application filed May 4, 1883. Term of patent 35 years.

To and whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, PAUL Pmrqo'r, of Yonkers, Westchester county, New York, have in vented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification.

The accompanying photograph illustrates my new design for carpets.

This invention relates to a new design for carpets, oil-cloths, and analogous fabrics and it consists of the new ornamentation of parts, hereinafter more fully pointed out.

In the center of the carpet is a frame containing apicture representing a landscape, A. Above this frame is a cluster of roses, B, with Below it is a cluster, C, of flowers, and below this, again, a spray, D, of flowers. The spaces between these floral ornaments B C D are irregular fields of varying tints or shades, which 'afiect the character of the entire design.
