i i i UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
DANIEL o. HYDE, on NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR A STAI R AND ROOM CORNER-GUARD.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,797, dated March 20, 1883.
Application filed December 20, 1882. Term of patent? yea-rs.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that ,I, DANIEL O. HYDE, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and Improved Design for Stair and Room Corner-Guards, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawings, formingapart of this specification, in
which similar letters of reference indicate corresponding'parts in both figures.
Figure 1 is a front elevation of my newly-designed stair and room corner-guard shown in position for use. Fig. 2 is a front elevation of the same enlarged.
The leading features of my design consist in the bead formed in the corner-guard near its edge, and in the flat circular space formed in the center ofthe concaved surface of the guard.
A is the corner-guard, which is made triangular in its general contour and has its edges concaved. 1n the guard A, near its edge, is formed a bead, B, which may have its convex or its concave side outward without materially changing its ornamental effect. The surface of the guard is concaved, and in its center is a circular space, 0, which is made flat to re- Jieve the surface of the guard, and thus add to the ornamental effect of the design.
Having thus described my invention, I claim as new and desire to secure by Letters Patent- 1. The design for a corner-guard herein shown and described, the same consisting of the bead B, formed around the guard A near its edge.
2. The design for a corner-guard herein shown and described, the same consisting of the bead B, formed around the guard A near its edge, and the flat circular space 0, formed in the center of the concaved surface of the guard.
