SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,450, dated November 21, 1882.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, WILLIAM 0. Peer, of Jersey City, in the State of New Jersey, have invented a certain new and ornamental Design 5 for Fire-Places, of which the following is a specification.

The design of this fireplace is Moorish, and it is represented in the accompanying engraving. The fire-place frame has columns a a,snp-

1o porting the leaflet capitals b. There are above this the scroll ornaments c, the fret-work d, colnmns e, supporting an entablature of leaflet and scroll-leaflet ornaments f, as represented. The central recessed portion, g, has radial tracr 5 ery ornaments, and there are ornamental corner-pieces h, and a central architrave, k, with shield ornament, as shown. The molded cornicelsurmountstheframe. Thefenderismade as a colonnade with arches m, leaflet ornaments 20 n, and a. molded cornice, o, as shown. The

wings of the fender have colnmnsp at the corners, a cornice, q. and hieroglyphic ornaments r, as represented. The back and side plates of the tire-place are ornamented with the arch and leaflet ornaments, as represented at LU.

I claim as my invention-- 1. The design of the fire-place fram e, consist ing of the columns a, capitals b, scroll orna ments c, columns e, fret-work d, and an ornnmental entablature, substantially as shown.
