DESIGN FOR A PRINTED FABRIC.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,145, dated August 8, 1882.
Application filed July 1, 1882. Term of patent 3t years.
To all whom it may concern:
Beit known that I, JOHN GLEN, ofBrooklyn, Kings county, in the State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Printed Fabrics; and I do hereby declare that the following specification, taken in connection with the accompanying illustration, forming a part of the same, is a full, clear, and exact description thereof.
My design relates particularly to printed fabrics known as calicoes, although it is equally applicable to silks, woolens, and other fabrics, either printed or Woven.
It consists in the representation of sprays of flowers and trailing vines, as will hereinafter appear.
Referring to the illustration, a, b, c, d, e, f, g, h, 'i, and j represent spraysof flowers, which are arranged in various positions, and are combined with trailing vines k. The sprays of 20 flowers and trailing vines are repeated upon the ground of the fabric to form the pattern but the vines in may be omitted, if desired.
The fabric may be produced in any preferred variety or combination of colors for giving a desirable client to the design.
What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. The design for printed and other fabrics, consisting of sprays of flowers, substantially as described and shown.
2. The design for printed and other fabrics, consisting of sprays of flowers and trailing vines, substantially as described and shown.
