Description

DESIGN FOR WALL-PAPER.
Design No. 13,009, dated June 27, 1882.
UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
EDUARD LEISSNER, OF NEW YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR WALL-PAPER.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 13,009, dated June 27, 1882. Application filed April 21, 1882. Term of patent 3; years.
To all whom it may concern Be it known that I, EDUARD LEISSNER, of New York, in the county and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Wall-Paper and similar Fabrics, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for wall-paper and similar fabrics; and itconsists in the novel grouping and configuration of parts, hereinafter more fully described.
The accompanying photograph illustrates a face-view of a wall-paper bearing my new design.
A is a vine-like figure, bearing on it numerous figures resembling leaves, buds, branches, and flowers of various kinds, and which extends over a plain background and forms the design. This vine A has upon it the deeplyindented flower-like figure B, from above which extends to the right a tendril bearing leaves and a circular scalloped figure and toward the left a branch bearing upon it the figure H, resembling a flower with leaves like open loops. From this same branch also branches oif the figure G, an open. flower with loug-poin ted leaves, somewhat resembling a widely-open tiger-lily, and from a stem extending from this the figureJ resembling afiower with open sharp'pointed serrated petals. On another tendril extending from the figure B grows the flower-like figure 0, having triangular petals, and ona stem projecting from this in turn grows the flower-figure D, fan-shaped in form, with leaves resembling open loops. Below the figure B, on a stem projecting therefrom, grows the figure E, fan-shaped, with pointed leaves having open loops. Farther down along the vine A is the figure F, resemblin g a many-pointed star with circular center, from which branches on one side the flowerlike figure L, with loop-like petals, and on the other side a stem which extends into the curved branch I, bearing oblong leaves and bud-like figures upon it. On the vine A, below the figure F, we meet again the figure H and the figure B, already described.
I claim- The design for wall-paper, consisting of the vine A, containing figures B, H, G, J, G, D, E, F, L, and I, substantially as shown.
- EDUARD LEISSNER.
