DESIGN FOR A SPOON-HANDLE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,977, dated June 13, 1882.
Application filed May 3,1882. Term of patent 7 years.
.To all wlbom t't may concern Be it known that I, ALFRED W. SPERRY, of Hartford, in the county of Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented a certain new andoriginalDesign foraForkor Spoon Handle; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, Whereby a person skilled in the art can make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.
The accompanying drawing, illustrating my new design, shows the front or flat side of a spoon or fork handle having my design raised upon its surface.
The leading features of my new design consist in the representation of a calla lily and leaves growing from a pot supported by an ornamental stand.
A is the pot at the lower end of the stalk. 20 B is an ornamental support for the pot. C C C are the leaves. D is the fiower.
The lily and the leaves are supported by stems, which proceed from the pot A, as shown in the drawing. 25
The general form and appearance of the several parts of my new design are shown in the accompanying illustration.
What I claim as my invention is-- The design for a spoon or fork handle here- 0 in shown and described, consisting of the representation of a calla lly and leaves growing from a pot supported by an ornamental stand or base, substantially as set 'orth.
