DESIGN FOR THE PLATES OF A HEATING-STOVE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,934, glated May 16, 1882,
Application filed March 27, 1889.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, JAMES M. A'IcIIIsoN, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, have invented a Design for the Plates of a Heating-Stove, of which the following is a specification.
My design is fully shown in the accompanying photographic illustrations of the plates of the stove.
The base-plate A, which is substantially square in outline, has linework ornamentation of a charaotertoo fully shown to need detailed description.
B B are the side plates, and I) the rearplate, of the ash-pit section of the stove. The side plates, B B, have ornamentation comprising twigs, leaves, blossoms, and flowers; but the main ornament of each plate is a representation of a bird perched upon one of the twigs, thebird on the plateB havingits wings spread and that on the plate B having the wings folded. The plate D has foliated ornamentation similar in general character to that of the plates B B.

It will be understood that the plates shown are designed to be used in connection with a- 0 cylindrical sheet-iron body; but this forms no part of my design, and has not been shown.
I claim- 1. The design for the side plates of the ash pit section, said design comprising the foliated 5 ornamentation and representations of birds, as shown and described.
2. The design for the rear plate, D, said design comprising the foliated ornamentation shown and described. 40
3. The design for the top of the stove, said design comprising the ring F, cover G, urn H, and ornament J, as shown and described.
