DESIGN FOR A STOVE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,609, dated December 20, 1881. Application filed November19, 1881. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that we, H. CLAY BASGOM, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State of New York, and Tomas S. HEISTER, a citizen of the United States, residing in the village of Lansingburg, in said county and State, have jointly invented and produced a new and original Design for a Franklin Stove,

10 of which the following is aspecification, reference being had to the accompanying print, out, or engraving of a stove having said new design.

The design for the top portion, A, consists of the urn 13, having the series of heart-shaped ornamentations c, in combination with the quadrilateral dome-form plate D, having the outer series of arched-top apertures c and the partial rosettesf, all shaped and arranged so as to present the appearance represented in the accompanying engraving.

The design for the corner pilasters, G, consists of the reversely-arranged top and bottom tan-form ornaments, h h, and the intervening incut ornaments, i, and plantornamentsj, having linear and pinnate leaves It k and terminal flowers Z, all shaped and disposed substantially as shown in the aforesaid cut.

The design for the upper front portion, M, consists of the lower swelled forwardly-projecting flat-arched part, having the middle upwardly-extending multi-radiate ornament n, downwardly-extending semicircular ornament o, and parti-rosctte p, with lateral leaf ornamerits q and top serrate arch, r, in combination with the star-tilled upper ornamental panels, s, and corner ornaments, t, all shaped and arranged together substantially as shown in the aforesaid print.

The design for the lower section, U, consists of the projecting base-plate v, overhanging top plate, an, upright end plate having the series of ellipsoidal ornamented panels at, and the upright front door having the series of star ornamentationsyand intermediate roundtop apertures, a, all shaped and arranged together as represented in the aforesaid out.

What we claim as ourjoint invention is 1. The design for the top portion, A, consisting of the parts B c and D c f, all shaped and arranged substantially as shown and described.

2. The design for the corner pilasters, G, consisting of the ornamental parts h h i k k I, all shaped and arranged as set forth.

3. The design for the upper front portion, M, composed of the ornamental parts a op q 1- s t, all shaped and arranged as set forth.

4. The design for the lower section, U,coinposed of the parts v 20 m ya, all shaped and arranged together as shown and described.
