SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No.
12,480, dated September 20, 1881.
Application filed August 9, 1881. Term of patent 315 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that LHENRY HUNT,0E Greenville, in the county of Hudson and State of New Jersey, haveinvented a new and original Design for Carpets, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to design for carpets and similar consists in the novel grouping and configuration of figures hereinafter more fully described.
The accompanying photograph illustrates a face view of a carpet having my new design.
The background of the carpet is composed of rows of interlocking oval figures (0 a, so an ranged that wherever four ovals overlap in part a fifth they produce within the latter a diamond shaped central figure, b,in which is contained a small cross. On this background is an involved design of many figures, all of a new and original fabrics; and it them connected into one system by stems or bars. The most prominent of these figures are the crownshaped figure A, the rosette B, the fan-shaped figure C, oval figure D,ball-shaped figure E, rosette I cross-like figure G, leafed rosette H, and angular figure I.
I claim- 1. The design for carpets, consisting of the figures A B C D E F G H I and connecting bars,stems,andfigures,snhstantiallyas shown.
2. The design for carpets, consisting of the figures A B C D E F G H I and connecting stems, bars, and figures, and of the figures a and b, substantially as shown.
