DESIGN FOR A CLOCK-CASE.

SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 12,252, dated May 10, 1881.

Application filed April 5, 1881. Term of patent 7 years.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HENRY J. DAVIES, of Brooklyn, in the county of Kings and State of New York, have originated and produced a certain new and Improved Design foraOlock- Case, of which the following is a specification.

The character of my design is clearly shown in the accompanying photograph, which represents afront view of aclock-cnse embodying said design.

The body A of the case is of circular form, and upon the under side is provided with diverging legs a, which terminate in base-pieces b, and are attached to the cas'e by scroll-ornaments 0 c. Between the two legs a is a center ornament, d, upon the under side of the case A. Upon opposite sides of the case A, at about the center of its height, are horizontal projections or corbels e, which are represented as supported by scroll-ornaments f, from which depend representations of bells f. Upon opposite sides of the case are chernbs B, which are represented as reclining upon the rounded top of the case, while their feet rest upon the horizontal projections or corbels 0. One arm of each cherub is represented as resting upon the top of the case, while their other arms, g, are uplifted and support acoronet, 0, arranged over the center of the case and slightly elevated above the top thereof. The uplifted hand of each cherub is represented as holding drapery h, the folds of which descend to and rest upon the top of the case.

D designates the bell or gong, which is elevated above the coronet O, and is supported upon an upright post or column, i.

What I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-- 1. A design for a clock-case, consisting of the circular bodyA and therepresentations of cherubs B, reclining on opposite sides of the upper part thereof, as shown and described.

2. Adesigu for aclock-casc, consisting of the circular body A, the cherubs B, the horizontal projections or corbels e, the ornaments f. and bellsf, and the legs a, as shown and described.

3. A design for a clock-case, consisting of the circular body A, the legs a, the projections or corbels e, the cherubs B, the ornaments c c d f, and the bells f, as shown and described.

4. A design for a clock-ease, consisting of the circular body A, the cherubs B, with uplifted arms g, and the coronet C, as shown and described.

5. A design for a clock-case, consistingof the circular body A, the cherubs B, with uplifted arms 9, the coronet O, and draperies h, as shown and described.

6. Adcsign for aelock-case, consisting of the circular body A, the cherubs B, with uplifted arms 9, the coronet C, and the hell or gong D, arranged over the coronet O, as shown and described.

7. The design for a clock-case, consisting of the circular body A, the cherubs B, the coronet 0, the bell or gong D, the draperies h, the legs a, the projections or corbels c, the bells f, and the ornaments c e d f, as shown and described.
