To all whom it may concern: sie, Be it known that we, JOHN G. MALABY and CHARLES E. OXFORD, citizens of the' United States of A merica, residing at Foreman, in the county of Little River and State of Arkansas, have invented new and useful Improvements in Telephone-Box Hangers, of which the following is a specification.

This invention relates to telephone box hangers, and one of the principal objects of the same is to provide simple means for securing a telephone box in place against a wall or other suitable support in a manner to permit the ready removal of the box in case of nre, or for repairs.

Another object is to provide simple and eflicient means for supporting telephone boxes which can be readily attached in position to permit the box to be attached thereto and1 detached therefrom without the use of too s.

These and other objects may be attained by means of the construction illustrated in Vthe accompanying drawing, in which the gure of the drawing is a side elevation of a telephone box, shown in dotted lines, and the hangers for the box'being shown connected to a wall or other suitable support.

Referring to the drawing for a more particular description of the invention, the numeral l designates a supported element which, as shown, is the back board of a telephone box of the usual or any suitable construction, and secured in the opposite edges of the back l, at different vertical points, are screws or pins 2, said screws projecting slightly outward from the edges of said back board. Secured in the wall or other support are the holders for the' telephone box, each consisting of a single piece of metal and comprising a screw threaded shank 8, an angular portion 4 adapted to bear against the wall,

an outwardly projecting arm 5 having a bend 6 therein, and an upwardly and outwardly extending curved member 7 provided with a terminal head 8. These holders are secured to the wall a at the required distances apart both vertically and horizontally, to engage the screws 2 between their heads and the outer edges of the back board, as shown in the gure of the drawing, and thus permitting thetelephone box to be readily lifted out from the holders, and readily replaced to engage the same.

From the foregoing it will be obvious that hangers made in accordance with our invention are of simple construction, can be quickly secured in place, and will permit the ready removel of the telephone box without the use of a screw driver or other tool.

The hanger hooks are of simple construction, can be made at slight cost, and can be quickly detached whenever required.

Having thus described the invention, what we claim is:

Means for supporting a telephone-box, consisting of a plurality of hangers, each formed Jfrom a single ,piece of metal, and comprising a screw-threaded shank, a member extending at a right angle to said shank to bear against a wall or other suitable surface, and an upwardly and outwardly curved Y arm having an outward bend near its lower end, in combination with a telephone-box provided with screws projecting outward therefrom to engage the bends in the hangers, substantially as described.
