To all whom it may concern.
Be it known that I, J AGKSON GOLDER, of Fort Recovery, in the county of Mercer, and Sta-teof Ohio, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Poultry-Coops; and I do hereby declare thatthe following is a full, clear, and enaeedesoription thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, and the letters of reference marked thereon, like lettersdesignating like parts in all the figures.
Figure 1 is a perspective view of the coop when arranged for use;
Figure 2 is a perspective view, when folded for convenience of transportation without the top or cover;
Figure 3 is a perspective yiew of the inside of one of the corners; and
Figure 4 is a vertical section, taken through one of To enable others skilled in the art to make and use my invention, I will proceed to. describe its construction and operation.
At each end of the floor of thecoop is a strip, A, the upper side of which is higher than the floor.
To the top'of the ends of these strips are hinged the sides, BB, of the coop.
Inside of the strips A A, are hinged the endsO O, and, if desired, partitions may be used, they being hinged to the floor. 5
On the outside of each end of the sides}? B, are spring-catches D. v
The'top, E, of the coop, has, at proper places, recesses in its under side,- which lit over the posts when in an upright position.
. The recesses which fit over the corner-posts are so constructed, that when the top, E, is placed in its position, the spring-catches D hold it securely.
To fold the coop, the. spring-catches D are pressed in, and the top, E, lifted ofl", the ends 0 C and sides B B turned down, audit is all folded compactly together, as representedjin fig. 2.
