The'nature of my invention consists in constructing a cooking-range in `such peculiar form and combination as to particularly adapt it for use in railway sleeping-cars, and other places where space is limited and cooking desirable. A
To enable those skilled in the art to make and use my invention, I Will describev itsconstruction and oper ation.
A is .the {ire-place. The heat passes, in the direction of the arrows, around the oven B, underneath oven-O, and out through iiue W. v
Yis a broiler, hinged at y, so that it may be turned back, and out ofthe Way, when not in use.
J is the re-door, hinged at'j, and supported bythe quadrants, I, when opened to a horizontal plane; and when in this position, it constitutes an extremely convenient table.
` B is the bake-oven; and
G, the Warming-oven, for plates, Ste.
D is asl1-pan, arranged in the usual manner.
E is the coal-cell or fuel-receptacle, arranged at the base, and within the casings ofthe range.
F is stationary boiler.
O is coldvwater pipe.` Y
Q and U are pipes leading to Water-back V, in rear side ,of fire-place.
Hotwater passes back to the boiler F through pipe S.
I is a waste-pipe, leading to the outside ofthe apartment, through which the Water in boiler F and kettle H may be drawn oii, when desired, by means of cocks M and N.
Kettle H is connected to Water-back V', in front part of lire-place, as shown in iig. 4. v
Z. is a space, partitioned at the side of fire-place A,
forming an oven, in which tea and coffee may be kept hot.
