Description
UNITED STATES PATENT OEEIoE.
FERDINAND KIN G, OF RICHMOND, VIRGINIA, ASSIGNOR TO HIMSELF AND CHARLES W. NEUDEOHER, OF SAME PLACE.
IMPROVEMENT IN GENERATING ILLUMINATING-GAS.
Specification forming part of Letters Patent No. 73,252, dated January 14, 1868.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, FERDINAND KING, of Richmond, in the county of Henrico and State of Virginia, have invented a new and useful Method of Generating Illuminating-Gas; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear and exact description thereof.
I take of the oil that runs from the gas-tar produced at gas or coke works about two parts, and crude petroleum about one part, and mix them to gether forming a compound oil. ,From this compound oil I generate gas by treating it in any oil-gas generator, in the same Way that other oils are treated for the same pur- It makes a superior illuminating-gas pose.
FERDINAND KING.
Witnesses J. J. OooMBs, Jos. L. OooMBs.
