TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:
' Be it known that I, DAVID B. ELLIS, of the city of Ypsilanti, county of Washtenaw, and State of Michigan, have invented a new and improved Brace to the Body and Legs of the Wheel-Barrow; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full and exact description of the said invention.
The nature of my invention consists in a brace running from each end of the forward cross or bed-piece of the body of the.wheel-barrow diagonally to the lower end of the leg of the barrow on the opposite side, such braces crossing each other; reference being had to the annexed drawings, making a part of this specification, in which- Figure 1 is a perspective view of a barrow with one brace attached, and
Figure 2 is a perspective view of the two braces.
A represents the arms to the body; B represents the bed-pieces; G represents the union or double brace; D represents the wheel; E represents the legs with bracesattached.
What I claim as my invention, is-
The diagonal brace, bracing and strengthening both.the body and legs of the barrow against lateral and perpendicular strain and pressure, substantially as described.
