certain new and useful Improvements in Eye- Guards; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the. invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to v make and use the same.

My invention relates to eye-guards; and its object is to provide a band adapted to be worn upon the forehead to prevent perspiration from running into the eyes of the wearer.

The device is designed for the use of various classes of workers, and especially for those who are employed in warm rooms, and aside from its utilityin protecting the eyes it avoids the dripping of perspiration upon books or papers being worked upon.

The invention comprises a thin metallic strip in combination with an absorbent pad and means for securing the device upon the head of the user.

The construction of the improvement will be fully described hereinafter in connection with the accompanying drawings, which form a part of this specification, and its features of novelty will be particularly pointed out in the appended claim.

In the drawings, Figure 1 is a view in perspective of the invention, showing the man ner of applying it to the head. Fig. 2 is a per-- spective view of the same detached, and Fig. 3 is a section on the line 2 2 of Fig. 2.

The utility of the device willbe obvious from the foregoing description, taken in connection with the drawings, and'I would have it understood that'the invention is not restricted to the exact construction shown, but includes all such modifications and embodiments of the invention as may fall within the scope of the following claim.

I claim- An eye-guard comprising a thin strip of sheet metal, having an integral central clip, an absorbent pad secured to the strip by said clip, a supplemental pad covering the inner surface of the clip, and cords serving the double purpose of securing the ends of the absorbent pad to the strip and attaching the guard to the head of the wearer.
