IMPROVED MOP-HEAD.

TO ALL WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Be it known that I, JDHN TROXEL, of Reedsburg, in the County of Wayne, and in the State of Ohio, have invented certain new and useful Improvements in Mop-Heads; and do hereby declare that the following Ss a. full, clear, and exact decription thereof, reference beinghad to the accompanying drawings, and to the letters of reference marked there0n.

In the annexed drawings, making part of this specifieetion, A A represent two jaws, which may be provided (one or both) with teeth for holding a, mop-rag between them. The arms B B of these ja.ws cross each other, and are pivoted together, as seen a.t :c. The outer ends of these arms ere pivoted to the ends of two lovers D and C, said levers being crossed and pivoted together. By this a.rrangement compound leverage is obtained, One of the levers C is serrated o! notched upon its Outer end, and a. link, E, upon lever D, ctttches over this notched end, When desireble, for holding the two levers together, end consequently the two jaws A A, for the jaws open and close With the levers. When the mop is placed between the jaws A A, a.nd the levers D und C are brought together and confined by the link E, it is held securely While being used, but can readily he det-uched by separating the levers, so thx t it cen be washed and wrung out.

What claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The arrangement of the heads A A, arms B B, levers C and D, and link E, the several parts being constructed and operating in the mnnner and for the purpose set f0rth.
