TO ALL WHOM IT.MAY CONCERN Be it known that I, R. G. BRITTON, of Springfield, in the county of Windsor, invented a new and useful improvement in Clothes-Pins; and I do hereby declare clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to ence being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of thisspecification,

This invention relates to an improvement in clothesiron pin or rivet, and inserting a spiral spring between the ends on one side t clothes-line to keep the clothes fast when hung out to dry.
A is one piece, of" ash or other suitable wood, which has a circular projection, 41, on one side, near the middle of it, len'gthwise, which is grooved longitudinally for receiving a corresponding tongue, 0, on the other piece, B, forming together the clothes-pin or clamp.
