TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERNE Be it known that I, SAMEL IVIcDONALD, of Cincinnati, Hamilton county, Ohio, hare invented a new and useful Bed-Bottom; and I hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making part ofthis specification. I

The object of this invention is a cheap and durable springfbed bottom, of-easy application to anyordnary bedstead, and vwhich admits of shipment in small compass and in few parts. In. the 'accompanying drawings-- Figure 1 shows part of a bedstead with my spring bottom attached. i A l Figure 2 shows the rubber loop with a section'of a cleat cut through at Vthe gain.

A A are the posts, and B B" the head and side rails of a bedstead. .To the rails are attached cleats C, which may be of wood or metal, or other suitable substances. i It will be seen that my improvement may be applied to any common bedstead with but a slight expenditure, and without damaging it in any way.

'I claim herein as new and of my invention-- The supporting-rods F and elastic loops E, sustained by either a rm or a yielding attachment to the hedstead, and operating substantially in the manner and for the purpose set forth.
