Be it known that I, ELIAS ROLLING-ER, of

i New Haven, in the county of Allenand State ot' Indiana, have invented a new and Improved Fence; and I do 'hereby declare that the fol lowing is a full, clear, and exact descriptionv thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the saine, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming part of tliisspeciiication, in which- Figures 1, 2, and 3 are side views of panels of my improved fence; Fig. 4, a transverse vertical section of Fig. 2, taken nt-he'line a:

This invention relates to anew and impro-ved fence of that classwhich are capable of being Vreadily put up and taken down, andare commonly termed portable fences.

r[he invention consists in a novel manner of bracing the panels and connecting the-same together, as hereinafter fully shownand de'- scribed, whereby the fence may be firmly supported in position, readily put up'and taken down, and constructed at a. small cost. Y
