T all whom, it may concern:

Beit known that I, DANIEL S. VING, a citizen ofthe United States, residing at Syracuse, in the county of Onondaga and State of New York, have invented new and useful Improvements in Bag-Holders, of which the following' is a specification.

The object of this invention is to provide a bag-holder which can be readily applied for :o use and operated. rlhis object is accomplished by means of the devices set forth in the annexed specification and claims, and illustrated in the accompanying drawings, in which- Figure lis aside elevation, partly in section,

Fig. 2 is a plan view of a portion of the bagholder. Fig. 3 is a plan view of a clamp used to attach the device.

Similar letters indicate correspondingparts. The bag-holder is shown in the drawings as applied to a truck or vehicle; but of course such bag-holder may be otherwise appliedas, for example, to a bin, a barn, or the like.

The letter A indicates a side bar of a truck or vehicle. The wheels G of the vehicle may be mounted in pivoted legs G2, so that, il' desired the truck or vehicle may be firmly set on the ground, as seen in Fig. l. To the cross-bars C C2 is shown attached a base-plate, K, by means of a screw, N, and a 5 clamp, L. Asuitable clamping-screw, M, prevents dislocation of the clamp L. A rack, J, is supported by the base-plate K, as hereinafter explained, and to said rack is hinged,by a pivot, E, an arm, H, carrying a dog, B, piv- 40 oted as at D and adapted to Vengage the rack.

Vhat I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

l. The combination, in a bag-holder, ofthe base-plate K, having the clamp L, for attachs 5 ing` it to a support, a rack, J, supported at itsends by the base-plate, the arm H, pivoted to the rack, and the dog B, substantially as described.

2. rlhe combination, in a bag-holder, ofthe 9o base-plate K, having the clamp L, for attaching it to a support, a rack, J, pivoted at its ends in said base-plate, the arm H, pivoted to the rack,and the dog B, substantially as described.

3. The combination, in a bag-holder, ofthe base-plate K, having at one end the clamp L and at the other end the screw N, a rack, J, supported at its ends by said base-plate, the pivoted arm H, and the dog B, substantially as described. roo

4. The combination, in a bag-holder, of the I rack, and the dog B, pivoted to the'arm, subbase-plate K, having end lugs, P, the rack J, having end pivots, F, arranged in said lugs, the arm H, pivoted to the rack, and 'thedog 5 B, substantially as described.

- 5. The combination, in a bag-holder, of the base-plate K, having end lugs, I?, and provided at its upper end with a clamp, L M, the rack J, having end pivots, F, arranged in said lugs, to the arm H, pivoted to the upper end of the stantially as described.
