Int. Cl. A47k 11/02 US. Cl. 4134 1 Claim ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An improved pot toilet for being placed upon the seat of an infants high chair or the like; the toilet including a bowl removably supported on a frame.
This invention relates generally to infants toilets.
A principal object of the present invention is to provide an improved childrens toilet including a novel holder and support.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an improved support and holder for a childrens toilet which can be conveniently placed upon an infants high chair or the like.
Yet another object is to provide an improved support holder for a childrens toilet wherein there is a pot removably mounted on a supporting frame.
Other objects are to provide a support and holder for a childrens toilet which is simple in design, inexpensive to manufacture, rugged in construction, easy to use and efficient in operation.
These and other objects will be readily evident upon a study of the following specification and the accompanying drawing wherein:
FIG. 1 is a perspective view of one form of the present invention,
FIG. 2 is a side view thereof shown placed on a high chair seat, and
FIG. 3 is a perspective view of a modified form of the present invention.
Referring now to the drawing in detail, the reference numeral represents a support and holder for a childrens toilet according to the present invention wherein there is a supporting frame 11 and a toilet bowl 12, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
The frame 11 is comprised of an upstanding rear panel 13 to which the rear ends of a pair of parallel, spaced apart, forwardly extending horizontal bars 14 are secured, each bar having a side groove 15. The forward ends of the bars are each secured to the upper end of a vertical leg 16 supported at its lower end on a transverse foot 17.
The bowl 12 comprises a potty type receptacle of 3,568,219 Patented Mar. 9, 1971 ice ceramic or equivalent material; the receptacle including a peripheral outward flange 18 around the upper edge thereof which is slidably received within the grooves 15. A pull handle 19 is secured to a side wall 20 of the receptacle so to pull the bowl out of the receptacle, drawing it outward between the legs 16 and over the foot 17.
In operative use, as shown in FIG. 2, the device 10 may be conveniently placed upon a seat 21 of a conventional high chair 22, and a child 23 may sit thereupon.
In a modified construction shown in FIG. 3, the device 24 comprises the same type of bowl 12 fitted into a supporting frame 25 comprised of a bottom wall 26, upstanding rear wall 27, opposite side walls 28, a stationary U- shaped top wall 29 having a groove 30 for receiving the bowl flange 1'8, and a pivotable U-shaped panel 31 adjacent the top wall which together therewith form a central opening 32- for gaining usable access to the bowl; the panel 31 also having a groove 33 for supporting the forward end of the flange 18. The panel 31 is pivotable about a pin 34 so to allow the bowl to be withdrawn from the frame.
While various changes may be made in the detail construction, it is understood that such changes will be within the spirit and scope of the present invention.
Having thus set forth and disclosed the nature of this invention, what is claimed is:
1. A childrens pot toilet support and holder consisting of: a bottom wall, an upstanding rear wall, two sides walls, a top wall and a pivoted U-shaped panel adjacent the top wall, a central opening in the top of the holder formed by a U-shaped opening in the top wall and the pivoted U-shaped panel when it is in the closed position, groove means in the side of the top wall and pivoted panel facing the central opening, the central opening and groove means being so dimensioned that a childs pot toilet receptacle with an upper peripheral flange may be held in the opening by the receptacle flange surrounded by the groove means, said receptacle being positioned and removed from said support and holder by rotating the pivoted panel from its closed position adjacent the top wall to an open position whereby the receptacle may be slidably received or removed from the groove means in the top wall.
